Fees
o My rate is $90/hour.
o I have a sliding scale that ranges from $50-$90.
Payment
o Payment is expected at the time of the appointment unless prior arrangements have been made.
o Payment is by cash, personal check or money order. I do not accept credit or debit cards.
Cancellation
o Please give at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
o Missed sessions and late cancellations are billed at the regular session rate.
Insurance
I have chosen not to participate with insurance companies as most require the client to authorize me to provide them with a clinical diagnosis, and possibly additional clinical information such as treatment plans, summaries, or copies of the entire record (in rare cases). Though all insurance companies claim to keep such information confidential, I have no control over what they do with it once it is in their hands. In some cases, they may share the information with a national medical information databank. I believe this is contrary to the intent of psychotherapy. I can supply you with a receipt of payment for services that you may be able to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please note that not all insurance companies reimburse for out-of-network providers.
